For me it is a combination of both. It is great to hire external talent with different capabilities to the current team and share knowledge. They can help upskill the existing team and it is great to learn on the job by watching and learning from others.

Currently, we have no plan to further invest in digital finance work, but whenever we did and we will do, we always make sure to first upskill our existing employees with the support of external consultants, training, and workshops. 

Companies can only grow if their employees grow along with them. Bringing people from outside will demotivate the existing employees and they go search for other opportunities.

It will be a combination of both.  Hiring expertise at the right times during the transition will allow us to re-skill the existing staff over a period of time to meet our end goal.  We spend an extensive amount of time talking about organizational change management so that our team understands and gets excited about the future prospects.
