I've used DiSC assessments. It's focused on workstyle preferences, and offers a common language for teams to interact.

We utilise a range of assessments for specific purposes however, for personality profiling for self awareness or team effectiveness it is either DiSC or StrengthsFinder depending on the need. DiSC is useful for communication styles and high level team understanding for group workshops. StrengthsFinder is more useful for a deeper understanding of natural talents and blind spots and can be used for more in depth team workshops or individual coaching

We have one group of employees (law enforcement) who go through a specific psychological evaluation, which includes some personality and social style aspects. In the past we used the PXT (Wiley) and were quite happy with it. It was used for various teams and departments to provide understanding of each other and then work to improve weak areas.

We use Hogan and the OPQ with internal coaches who provide debriefs to understand the results and establish clear next steps for development
