AR has a lot more practical use than VR in the short term, but neither is quite ready for end-user adoption yet and likely not in the next 12 months. How nice will it be when you get step-by-step instructions on how to fix something by hovering over it with your phone? A lot of possibilities for AR development making big strides in the next 3 to 5 years.Community User in Softwarea year ago
Interesting addition! I hadn't thought of all the ways that AR can be applied to help day by day. I wonder who will end up creating that sort of content. Perhaps we will have an entirely new wave of content creators who specialize in AR/VR content the way we currently have folks who specialize in other kinds of content.

Good point. AR has more practical use cases and can see that having a better adoption means than VR. However, I wonder if there is a generation play here, where younger generations will be more drawn to VR, with the notion of escapism. The next 12 months are still too early but this will become a medium to focus on soon.

AR and VR are on the market for a while now. So, my best guess is that it will not disrupt. And if useful, you already use it, unless suffering budget restrains.
