Thanks so far for the votes. Just an additional point for the discussion: as I see the concerns lead our minds, what's your remediation plans?Chief Information Technology Officer in IT Services15 days ago
With this kind of massive growth, it brings challenges, especially around data privacy, cybersecurity, and complianceIT Manager in Construction15 days ago
Indeed, thanks Didier. Ethics as well, a topic totally underrated.

Somewhat against the crowd, I don't think that any technology introduces issues and challenges around data privacy, cybersecurity, ethics and compliance.
People introduce challenges around privacy, security, compliance and ethics.
People are and always have been both the strongest and the weakest link, paradoxically.

Democratisation of technology continues to expand and each new breakthrough technology goes from 0 to x millions faster. Millennials and younger account for half of the global population of more than 4 billion. Add Gen X and you get over 75%. Almost 90% of the global population has a cell phone. Social media touches about 4 Billion people. My point is that 0 to 100 million, is, each year, a much less important statistic than the % of market share globally. GPT has 180 million users as of August 2024. That's reaching about 2.2% of the global population or say - estimating - 4.4% of tech savvy people. I estimate TikTok market share after 2-3 years was about 20% of 4 billion tech savvy people.
While I am neutral on the gpt topic, I look at the numbers and think that not enough people use GPT and too many people use tiktok. ;-)
