Many CIOs come in with good energy and try to get as much done as possible in the first 12 months of employment, however they eventually become too-connected or 'blind' to many issues in an environment. Stuff is 'just good enough' and there's lots of accepted risk
As a fractional role, it's a lot harder to get complacent with strategy
