Execs are known to be co-relate information to make wise decisions. Though no knowledge is too much, the need for finer details may not exist.

Yes, I do believe as a CIO it is important for me to not only understand the details of how GenAI works, but also to educate C-suite execs and leadership/management within the organization. There is too much mis- and disinformation out there about GenAI and how it works. As they understand the functions, the guardrails, and the possibilities, they can make better decisions and not simply rely on the technology people to tell them what to think.

I think it depends on the position. CIO and Chief Innovation Officers for sure. I think CFO, CEO and others dont have to be in the tactical detail but have to understand the context on how tech can be applied to achieve their strategic objectives and help transform their business (adding revenue streams)

I think Organizations should quickly consult with some of leading advisors. Post that should provision a dedicated budget ( moving ) under CDO umbrella to start creating a plan for adoption/building initial foundation.

in couple of Qtr few use cases can be tested to depending upon it can enhance the investments/partnership needed.  This is also a time to educated not just C but up to managerial levels people to start thinking and identifying usecases/problems that can be solved using Gen AI.
