The penultimate step of enterprise IT DevOps is continuous deployment - pushing changes to production 10s/100s times per day without human intervention, like Facebook, Google, et al. The tooling seems to be maturing to make this step more accessible. The level of effort of testing decreases drastically using apps like CoPilotX. What are the challenges keeping your organization from attaining this? What objective measures are you using to determine success? DORA? SPACE? Other?

It largely depends on the type of the organization and the customers it serves. CI/CD, Test First, Product Mindset and other engineering practices are focused to ensure right engineering culture is in place. It's important to have the right culture cultivated in addition to the objective measures.
> Time to invest in that tooling. It requires a lot of effort and knowledge to implement it properly... and if it is done poorly it can have negative results.
> Also not every company needs to deploy so frequently so it might be overkill and its ROI unclear
What objective measures are you using to determine success?
> I honestly don't use any of these metrics for this kind of "success"
