With so many various trade publications on the market and sources for supply chain insights, what are the publications -- magazines, digital publications, or websites that you find to be most helpful in staying informed?

Good question. It depends on what types of published contents you want to be informed and of your personal preferences as well.

- Publications: Gartner, McKinsey, EY, Supply Chain Management Review, Supply Chain Brain, and such.
- Webinars & Online courses, Online communities, Networking, Supply Chain Leaders, Gartner Peer Community, Social Media groups related to Supply Chain: Coursera, edX, Linkedin, MIT open courses, online libraries, etc.
- Industry events & conferences, professional associations: SCM conferences, Trade Shows, ASCM, CSCMP, etc.
- Your awesome circle: connect with and learn from those people who love learning, keep themselves and you informed and encourage one another to move forward and contribute to the communities where we live, work, play, learn, & serve, all while doing so without being asked or told, it happens naturally as that's who they are - this is by far, my favorite and most effective way of learning.

Hope that helps. Enjoy your journey in learning and please keep up your great work.

It depends on how you're looking to use those sources. If you're looking for a reading list to keep up with news/insights/trends - take a look at the list in the comment below (good place to start). If however you're looking for data sources that you can ingest & leverage (think pulling market data into performance analysis) you'll want to identify consistent data/format sources that you quantify & use. Some examples: a DAT subscription with lane credits allows you to regularly refresh 'market truck rates' on lanes. DOE is useful for certain macro economic trends and specific indices like Fuel. Nielsen is one I've seen where you can get market intel in categories where you play (pending a few steps of extra work). Gets a lot more complicated!
