When an intern arrives at your team, besides the onboarding, what other processes do you plan for them to do/learn as well?

We have a fairly mature intern program as we feel it is a fantastic way to source new talent in to the organization. During our 10 week program we have developed multiple learning tracks and events that all interns must attend. Examples include basics of the business, personal branding, business etiquette, team building, department orientations, intern breakfasts, breakfast with managers seior executive meet and greets and a final presentation of the projects their worked on. We make it a point to ensure the work that they do is not busy work but actually contributes something to the team they are on. We create an onboarding plan [onboarding in the team] where we clearly specify what she/he needs to learn and who would be the responsible person for setting up the meeting if it's an interactive session. List down the knowledge page(s) or video(s) he/she needs to go through. The most important things we would like to have interns take away from their short time on our team can be summarized as the following 1) Don't be afraid to ask questions; do your research first though 2) understand the SDLC and its various milestones etc, 3) working together to solve problems, 4) how to incorporate and take feedback - so we tailor our team's approach to meet those goals by assigning a buddy, a senior member of an adjacent team to be a mentor, and of course ensure that the team manager/tech lead commit to weekly/daily check-ins with the intern to ensure communication is constant throughout the internship
