What surprised me most is that you need to flex your leadership style to effectively support each direct report.  The methodology is called “Situational Leadership” by Ken Blanchard.

The importance of feedback and the impact it has if you do this right.  By not giving feedback or by waiting too long, you lose momentum and won't give the employee the chance to learn and act.

Managing the speed of action which the individual, business and I expect. That is to say, being highly action orientated means my instincts can be to try and make things happen quicker than the individual may be ready for and the organisation can manage
