On average, what percentage of their job do Intelligent Automation/RPA developers spend maintaining existing automations?  What is the average time spent monitoring and fixing v. developing new business solutions?

I've observed the percentage of 20-30% of RPA developers' time spent doing maintenance, with half of the maintenance responding to infrastructure enhancements.   A well-architected infrastructure and RPA model will limit the technical debt that is generated.  My experience with RPA for for business process automation is similar.

I will look at this more holistically. The Run part of RPA includes solution refinement, solution changes, QA, etc. I have seen this takes approx 35% of the team's time. Sometimes you can justify this time
