A host of major transportation and logistics firms  are  integrating AI heavily in their respective operations . Companies like DHL, FedEx are using AI for route optimization and for predictive maintenance of vehicles. Amazon, Alibaba, Walmart etc. use them extensively in fulfillment centers for optimizing  picking, packing, shipping and internal movement of materials within the warehouse

All leading logistic organisations are exploiting or in the journey of adopting blockchain and AI to optimise their route, tracking of vehicle, and reduce the loss of time and resources. Bringing their predictive model to predict the accuracy. Maersk Shipping is one of them. Amazon and  and other ecommerce are the already at advance adopters of AI. They are learning a lot from smaller players like Zomato, Blinkit etc.

I believe that route optimization is something where lot of AI is being used to analyse the traffic patterns, weather conditions, road availability, location accessibility etc. to save on both fuel and time.
