In our corporate environment everyone has the same equipment and same PC. Those who host a lot should learn how to use the tools effectively. We expect employees to effectively use SAP, Excel, Word, why not the meeting tools of Teams. If you are hosting, start the call 5 minutes early to ensure audio and application sharing is working. I chose “not a problem”, but when it’s the same person having difficulties every time, it’s kind of challenging.CIO in Services (non-Government)3 years ago
Sometimes we have to understand that some participants only take part in these virtual sessions about twice a year or so. They probably have better things to do such as doing real work in the office!!! It is important that other participants who are experts are patient and help them. Equipment failure does happen and rebooting hardware is sometimes necessary to resolve issues. For those who are involved with virtual meetings constantly, I agree that they should make sure they have properly working equipment.
If it's too frequent, it suggests an issue with their capability.
Once or twice though, it's understandable.
