Over 35+ years I found that I had true promotion or full role changes about every 4-5 years. Frequently there was tile expansion within that with an above average raise but I didn’t consider those position changes. I feel you don’t create lasting value and change in 1-2 years. You can have success but my observation has been those who moved on at 2-3 years didn’t really change things as it went back to “the old way/or problems returned “ shortly after their departure. The type of company makes a big difference though. My experience is based on huge 130k employee global 100+ year old company
