While the best employees often exhibit self-motivation, everyone appreciates feeling valued. Just as we're willing to invest more in items like shoes, cars, houses, jewelry, and even food that we perceive as more valuable, it makes sense to compensate valuable employees accordingly. In essence, rewarding exceptional employees with better pay reflects the recognition of their worth to the organization.
