For us, LinkedIn has become a crucial channel in talent sourcing, and we're continually enhancing its utilization. While agencies are still part of our recruitment strategy, their contribution has decreased as a percentage of our overall sourcing methods. Employee referrals have proven to be a significant success factor, with a combined approach of LinkedIn and internal referrals from our workforce being the primary sources for filling roles. In our specific field, employee referrals have played a more dominant role compared to the utilization of LinkedIn, which is gaining traction as an effective platform for talent acquisition.

Recognizing the multidimensional nature of recruitment, we strategically use various platforms to build awareness, engage with talent and make targeted outreach based on the specific audience and role requirements. Identifying the most successful channel for sourcing top talent in our organization is multi-faceted, considering the diverse range of roles we hire for. They key is to understand the target audience and where they “hunt for jobs”. For shared service roles like HR and Marketing, LinkedIn has proven highly effective, enabling recruiters to mine for talent based on specific skills and create shortlists. Networking activities, and platforms like CREW, are pivotal for connecting with experienced brokers (as well as picking up the telephone), while for early-career positions, we leverage platforms like Handshake and also find success with LinkedIn. Finally, for roles within our real estate management services business, such as engineers and property managers, we have found success on social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.
