Pay-per-use services
Cloud computing provides customers with Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to access cloud services and charges based on usage.

Mobility
Cloud computing enables us to instantly access all cloud data via mobile devices.

Low maintenance costs
Cloud computing lowers enterprises' hardware and software maintenance expenses.

Data backup and restoration
Once the data is in the cloud, it is much easier to back it up and recover it utilising the cloud.

Collaboration has improved.

Some of the biggest advantages of on-premises computing include

Control-  With on-prem computing, an organization has complete control over its computing resources, including how they are configured, managed, and secured. This can be particularly important for organizations that have strict security or compliance requirements, or that need to ensure a high level of availability for their systems.

Customization-  On-prem computing allows organizations to customize their computing infrastructure to meet their specific needs, rather than being limited to the features and capabilities of a particular cloud service provider.

Cost - In some cases, on-prem computing can be more cost-effective than using cloud services, particularly for organizations that have large amounts of data or compute-intensive workloads.

Performance -  On-prem computing can offer higher levels of performance and lower latency than cloud-based solutions, particularly for applications that require real-time processing or that have very high traffic volumes.

Data privacy - On-prem computing can provide greater control over data privacy, as the organization is able to physically secure its own data center and has complete control over who has access to its data.

This is why we saw a lot of pullback from the cloud. In 2015, everyone wanted everything in the cloud. Now in 2023, we have found that hybrid environments are the best as there is always a place for on prem, especially if you have an office with a wiring closet or data centre where you can host your own servers!

I can not disagree more on the statements provided. Cloud adoption is inevitable just because it is safer, easier to start, and cheaper - if you need to start in a big market or globally.
