I always encourage led my teams to get at least half their vacations scheduled on the calendar ASAP. Partially to avoid conflicts of having everyone out at the same time. Also to avoid having the entire team required to take their remaining 3 weeks of vacation I. December. I also rewarded special extra efforts with a “free” day off. Or “comp time “.
