First make sure your sales & marketing efforts are customer-centric and outside-in, not your company-centric and inside-out, which is too often the case. Simple exercise, which may sound cheesy but I find effective. Imagine you have a customer in every internal meeting you have. What would they think of the decisions being made? How would they benefit or be impacted negatively?
