Interesting that Nike chose a CEO with a service management and cloud service solution  background to drive a product and marketing company. Maybe he will be less politically correct.

His extensive tech background can bring more online presence to Nike. They are not lacking, but everything is about the customer emersion experience.  Everything is digital now.

There is a definite opportunity here.  For somebody who has lead a significant market share owner in the business software space to take over a major manufacturer implies a strategic shift towards how the business is run and how IT can enable it.  is challenge will be how he understands the different market... instead of providing software and services now he is creating physical goods in demand for a very fickle market
