IMHO, don't assume anything or make snap judgements, see what the data shows you via management reporting, speak to people to understand the narrative, do the reports match the narrative. Then create a plan using something like OKRs.Strategic Banking IT advisor in Banking7 months ago
A key thing to do in any leadership position, within the first 90 days, is to send the right message to the employees. You must start by creating the right atmosphere. You're replacing someone which either was deeply appreciated ("legendary") or at the opposite, was fired for known/unknown reasons of the employees. So setting the pace and peace, is crucial.Second thing, also crucial, is to get ready to learn and learn fast about the challenges of the organization and who are the key stakeholders (colleagues but also lines of business). You'll find out which ones are allies... or not!
Having said that, the true nature/culture of the organization is also important to understand. This will dictate the kind of changes you will be able to make without having major pushbacks.
