Are there any opportunities to work part time or do contract work? If so, what are some options other than document review?

What about Priori, Paragon Legal, and other legal talent marketplaces? Both connect corporate legal departments with lawyers and legal professionals for project-based and interim work. There are also the more established ALSPs like Axiom.
Opportunities aren't limited to just document review anymore. Many firms and corporate legal departments use interim talent for cost-effectiveness, access to specialized skills, operational flexibility, and other reasons.

I have worked with TruStaffing over the past ~20 years and they staff lawyers, legal professionals, and cybersecurity professionals on project-to-project basis or general contract work. They can give you an idea of the different types of projects out there. One of my lawyer friends has a small firm and he recently received a government contract for transactional work and hired a handful of contract lawyers to assist him with the contract process, so I think there are a lot of opportunities similar to that across various practice areas. I feel like the remote world opened more opportunities for part time or contract work outside of document review.
