Although there are a lot of tools out there from Microsoft Enterprise SSO for Apple devices to 1password the question that immediately comes to mind is the first "why?" in a series of 5 whys. If these are corporate owned and use encryption and VPN, that's one use case. If it's for any consumer to log in to a corporate system with SSO from a mobile device overwhich there is no control and little governance, that is a different ball game.

Not sure what exactly you are looking for, but we use JAMF to manage our macos devices, which also assists with our users signing into them using their on prem AD credentials.

Our SSO setup is for web pages mostly, and at that point in time it doesn't matter what OS you are coming from, as long as you have a reasonably new web browser it will work.

The simplest approach is to link your Apple Business Portal to your Azure AD tenant. By doing this, you'll be able to manage and integrate Single Sign-On (SSO) with all of Microsoft's tools, including the Intune suite. Intune provides excellent application management as well as comprehensive access and security management for your iOS devices.

Not sure on comparison, but one of our client is using GE’s Flow Safe Pipeline control system. Seems my point of contacts are happy with it.
