Looking back at 2023 so far, what was the most surprising or interesting thing you learned about the factors that promote or impede success for your data and analytics function?

Data quality is the overall topic in success or failure.  It the same story for internal and external data.  Our ability to deliver insights is determined by the availability and quality of the data.  Yes there are proxies and we can triangulate things.  But the easier it is to get reliable data the easier it is to deliver insights.  I spend a lot of time just thinking about data sources and how get to helpful data.
