Hi,I consider it often starts with :
- good feedback from others
or
- great result involving some people.
Than I like to invite this person on work session or meeting on a hi visibility topic with many department involved... and see how this person contribute and work within diverging opinion around the business. It think this kind of opportunity highlights leadership skills.

To identify potential leaders on your existing team, I believe two things stand out: (1) instilling trust in delegating to enable others to step up and lead, and (2) recognizing the executive orientation and emotional intelligence potential to groom into higher leadership roles. Soft skills are critical in identifying future leaders. VP of Supply Chain in Healthcare and Biotech5 months ago
From a larger org perspective, we do structured talent reviews combined with succession planning across supply chain (annual cadence). Critical roles and specific individuals are highlighted/discussed by all supply chain function leaders in a joint meeting environment. For those designated as future leadership/larger-scope potential, there is then a deliberate approach on development plan creation. We are also looking at development of a talent sharing forum/platform for supply chain. VP of Operations5 months ago
