We haven’t started on our DEI journey yet. This is probably a 2024 [objective] for us. We're just now doing some research and trying to look at best practices. Our approach is going to be through education. We just started using LinkedIn learning, for instance, and they have a great set of curricula on DEI for managers and leaders. One of our first steps will be to assign or recommend those curricula to our leadership so we're all on the same page and people understand what the value proposition is.

What I’ve learned is, if you want to get attention, make it about business. You need to have an engagement strategy where you connect the leaders to that issue. We have also learned that making our targets and commitments known to our employees and to our external stakeholders creates a healthy pressure to focus on that and integrate it as part of the business plan.
