I run a gas utility PMO and need benchmarking data to present to the CFO. I am now able to hire new FTEs and need to compare our numbers with peers. Please share your feedback on the following: What is your annual project portfolio size? How many PMs and other roles support that portfolio (specify roles and quantity)? What is your FTEs to contractor ratio if contractors are used?

Not sure if our data is relevant but we run Agile at scale for most projects where we have about 10 PM/PO like roles where 3 are currently vendors. All in project/scrum teams are about 70 people in all where the mix is about 60% FTEs vs 40% vendors across 8 full scrum teams and several mini project teams VP of IT in Softwarea year ago
we don't use contractors for development. We have very few PM roles so the ratio of FTE to PM is quite high.
