Change is imminent. I was reading Peter Theil’s book on change management, and I was really impressed by what he said about change needing to start from within. I’ve experienced this myself. When you keep changing with time, becoming a better version of yourself every day, you can accept changes more easily than someone who wasn’t upgrading that way. If you are consistently making changes internally, then you will be more prepared to accept changes to the external environment that are bound to happen anyways.

Understanding the values of an organization.

While crafting a compelling vision for where you want to take a department with data analytics is the core element of a data strategy, if the existing culture doesn't work, the strategy won't either.

Create clarity and call out the values of the organization/stakeholder, tap into those to foster a culture that supports your vision and strategy versus undermining them. This should improve team interaction and alignment.
