I’d consider how much the benefits outweigh the costs, and whether the tool adds or improves capabilities. For example: We recently passed on implementing a new market automation platform. While it added new capability with its many features, the cost to purchase, implement and maintain wasn’t worth it.

In this day and age? Can I consolidate tools. The rule I had was if I could remove two tools for one, then yes!
