This question can be misleading. There are jobs that can not be done without physical attendance to office. There are other jobs that can be purely done remotely and there are in between. I believe the best approach for business is to assess the model based on the type of tasks and activities required. In addition, employees who just joined and internships should not be done remotely from the start. They need to understand the business first before they can work remotely.
